Requires the Scriptable app, an Octopus Cosy heat pump, and Octopus API credentials to connect.
Cosy Watch is a widget for the iPhone app Scriptable, built to show information from an Octopus Cosy heat pump right on your Home Screen. Instead of opening the Octopus Energy app each time you want to check your heating system, this widget pulls the same kind of data and displays it as a small, always visible tile. The widget can show the heat pump's current status, hot water temperature, its Coefficient of Performance which is a measure of how efficiently it is running, heat output, power usage, and outside temperature. It also shows data from Cosy Pods, small sensors placed around a home, including average room temperature, the range of temperatures across different pods, and average humidity. It tracks today's and yesterday's energy usage, and highlights fault states with fault codes when they are available, so a problem with the heat pump is easy to spot at a glance. To use it, you need an iPhone or iPad, the free Scriptable app from the App Store, an Octopus Cosy heat pump, and access to the Octopus API. Setup involves installing Scriptable, downloading the Cosy Watch script, opening it inside Scriptable, entering your API credentials, running it once to confirm it connects correctly, and then adding it as a widget on your Home Screen. This is an independent, unofficial project made by an Octopus Cosy customer, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Octopus Energy in any way. The project has a companion GitHub Pages website with more detailed setup instructions and screenshots, and the author welcomes bug reports and feature suggestions through GitHub Issues or Discussions.
