In plain English

Awesome Certificates is a curated list of free online courses that award a certificate, a digital badge, or both when you complete them. The list covers more than 200 courses totaling over 20,000 hours of content across technology, computer science, design, and business topics. Every course on the list is free to take, and the credential you earn at the end is also free. The list is organized into sections by subject area. Technology-focused sections include artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, databases, data science, networking, security, DevOps, and several programming languages. Design sections cover tools like Photoshop and Illustrator. Business sections include marketing, finance, project management, entrepreneurship, and professional communication. Each entry in the list shows the course name, the organization offering it, a difficulty level of beginner, intermediate, or professional, how many hours the course takes, and whether the reward is a digital badge or a certificate of completion. Course providers represented in the visible portion of the list include Google, Amazon, Kaggle, LinkedIn in partnership with Microsoft, the University of Helsinki, Databricks, and DeepLearning.AI, among others. Courses range from half an hour to thirty hours in length. The repository is community-maintained. Anyone can add a missing course by forking the repository and submitting a pull request. There are also issue templates for requesting a certificate that is not yet listed, reporting errors, and suggesting new features. A Discord server is available for the community. The full README is longer than what was shown.
