Copy the skill folder into your Codex skills directory, then upload a photo and ask Codex to use it.
Photo abstract editorial is a Skill for the Codex AI assistant that turns a single photo into a vertical, magazine style piece of art. The finished image keeps a version of your original photo, sits it next to an abstract panel made of shapes and color that are pulled directly from that same photo, and adds a short, poetic English title. The idea is to keep the photo's real content intact while distilling its spatial layout, composition, and color relationships into an abstract companion piece, rather than applying a filter, redrawing the photo, or copying someone else's visual style. To use it, you copy the skill's folder into your Codex skills directory, start a new Codex conversation, upload the photo you want to transform, and ask Codex to use this skill to turn the photo into a piece combining the photograph with an abstract panel. The skill keeps your original photo in the main or upper part of the result and builds a simple abstract panel underneath it that is derived from the relationships already present in the photo, along with one original English title and an optional subtitle. The prompt that drives this skill is provided in both Chinese and English, and it is meant to be a solid starting point rather than a fixed rulebook. Several parts can be adjusted, including the size split between the photo and the abstract panel, the color palette and how saturated it is, the style of the abstract shapes, and how the title and any subtitle are placed and sized. Two rules are meant to stay fixed even when adjusting these settings: the uploaded photo must remain the only source of content, and every element in the abstract panel should be traceable back to something that genuinely exists in the original photo. The project is free for personal, educational, and non commercial use, with commercial use requiring the author's prior permission and attribution appreciated when the skill is used.
