Gold Miner is a community translation project run by Juejin, one of China's largest developer communities. The problem it addresses is that many high-quality technical articles, tutorials, and official documentation are written in English and not accessible to Chinese-speaking developers without translation. Gold Miner organizes a volunteer community to translate these materials into Chinese and publish them on the Juejin platform. The repository itself is not runnable code, it has no primary programming language. Instead it is a curated index of completed and in-progress translations. The README and linked Markdown files catalog thousands of translated articles organized by topic: artificial intelligence and machine learning, Android development, iOS and Swift, frontend JavaScript and React, backend engineering, product design, blockchain, algorithms, and more. It also links to fully translated official documentation sets, such as the TensorFlow documentation and a JavaScript tutorial series. Contributors follow a workflow documented in the repository's wiki, proposing articles to translate, submitting translated text as pull requests, and peer-reviewing each other's translations before publication. The repository serves two purposes simultaneously: a public catalog of translated content that readers can browse, and the operational coordination hub for an ongoing translation community. With over 4,000 translated articles and more than 1,500 contributor translators recorded, it represents one of the largest sustained efforts to make English-language technical content available in Chinese. You would visit this repository if you are a Chinese-speaking developer looking for translated versions of technical articles, or if you want to contribute to the translation community by taking on new articles in your area of expertise.
