Industry Brief Generator Plugin is a Codex plugin that creates industry news briefings in either English or Chinese. A user tells it an industry, a target market, the topics to focus on, and what the final brief will be used for, and the plugin first generates a pool of candidate story topics rather than jumping straight to a finished document. The user then picks 8 of those candidates, and only after that selection does the plugin produce the finished brief, a poster image, and copy ready to post on a channel. The project explains that the hard part of writing an industry briefing is not the formatting, it is choosing strong and trustworthy topics. By splitting the process into a research step and a publishing step, the user gets a chance to review and choose sources before any final content is written. The plugin sets clear rules for itself: it should not invent sources, dates, company actions, or links, should not treat social media posts as industry facts, should not pad the brief with generic finance news, and should not skip ahead to a final brief before the user has picked the 8 stories. If there is not enough solid public information to work with, it is meant to stop and ask for better sources or a narrower industry instead of guessing. The plugin bundles two separate Codex skills, one for English output and one for Chinese output, each including its own configuration examples, templates for the candidate pool and final brief, and a checklist for reviewing the poster. It is aimed at people who regularly need industry summaries, such as consultants, market research teams, international business teams, content teams, industry media, and sales or business development staff.
