In plain English

This repository is a curated list of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for software products: desktop apps, web apps, and subscription services. It is updated each year around November and collects discounts from hundreds of independent software makers in one place. The 2025 edition contains 544 deals organized into categories such as developer tools, productivity apps, AI tools, design tools, marketing tools, SEO tools, and health and fitness apps. The list is maintained by Tony Dinh, a software developer who builds and sells his own products. He and his brother review submissions manually to keep quality high. The rules are strict: only software, apps, and SaaS products are accepted. Courses, books, templates, and similar digital goods are excluded. Deals that appear unfinished or low quality are also filtered out. The result is a shorter, more selective list than the typical exhaustive Black Friday roundup. Anyone can add their own product to the list by opening a pull request. Each deal gets added to the end of its category section in the order it arrives. The maintainer also selects the top ten indie products from the list to feature in his personal newsletter, which reaches over 15,000 subscribers, giving those products extra visibility. The categories cover a wide range of software use cases. Developer tools include macOS utilities, database clients, HTTP debuggers, and cloud storage managers. Productivity sections cover task managers, window utilities, focus tools, and mobile apps. AI tools span chat interfaces, writing assistants, and image generators. Other sections cover social media schedulers, finance tools, and miscellaneous utilities. The full README is longer than what was shown.
