This repository provides starter files for a Posit Academy course called "Foundations of Python for Data Science." The course teaches you how to build data analysis reports and presentations using a coding environment on your computer while you follow guided lessons in your web browser. Instead of starting from a blank page, you get partially built files so you can jump right into learning by doing. The project is organized into four folders, each covering a different skill. Someone preparing to present data findings to a team could also use these tutorials to learn how to turn raw analysis into a clean slideshow. To use the materials, you download the project to your computer and install a few standard data tools, specifically packages for working with data tables and creating charts. The tutorials rely on a document format called Quarto, which lets you mix written text, code, and visual output into a single file that can be rendered as a report or presentation.
