OM-3 Recipe Studio is a Windows desktop tool for editing Recipe JPG and OM Workspace OES files used by OM SYSTEM's OM-3 camera. These recipe files store a camera's color and monochrome picture profile settings, the kind of in camera filters and tone adjustments some photographers like to fine tune and share. This is an independent, unofficial project built from the author's own testing of the OM-3 camera, currently released as a version 0.9 public beta and distributed only as a compiled Windows program rather than source code. The tool lets someone open an existing Recipe JPG or OES file and see its settings filled back in automatically, then adjust them further. Color recipes can be edited using twelve separate color profile sliders, while monochrome recipes have their own set of controls for filter, tone, color, grain, and shading. Once edited, a recipe can be exported back out as a new Recipe JPG, or imported and exported as an OM Workspace OES file. A preview image can be loaded so the user can compare the look before and after their edits, and the tool can also read and display the white balance recorded in a loaded JPG or OES file, though it does not write white balance back into the file itself, that still has to be set manually on the camera. Other listed changes in this beta are mostly small interface refinements: a cleaner color and mono editing layout, unified icons and popups across the app's dialogs, and a fix for Traditional Chinese text encoding in the export dialog. The README states plainly that this project is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by OM Digital Solutions, OM SYSTEM, Olympus, or OM Workspace, and that it has only been tested against the OM-3 camera, with no guarantee it works correctly with other OM SYSTEM or Olympus models. It is distributed as a binary only public beta with no open source license granted.
