3D print a custom shell to convert an HSK Pro mouse to a fingertip grip.
Edit the SCAD source files to customize paddle shape and placement for your own hand size.
Follow the disassembly and reassembly steps to install the mod on your own mouse.
Requires a 3D printer, small hardware parts, and fully disassembling the original mouse.
Kotinos is a 3D-printable fingertip shell modification for the HSK Pro gaming mouse made by G-Wolves. The idea is to replace the original outer casing with a custom-shaped shell that repositions the button paddles for a fingertip grip style. STL files are included so you can send them directly to a printer, and the source SCAD files are also provided if you want to adjust the geometry. The mod involves ten parts in total. Three are 3D printed: the main shell and two paddle pieces, one for the right mouse button (index finger) and one for the left (middle finger). The remaining parts are small off-the-shelf hardware: a pair of tiny IDC ribbon cable connectors, a short section of flat ribbon cable, several M1.4 screws, and circular mouse skates. Assembly requires fully disassembling the HSK Pro first, removing the battery, the side button circuit board, the encoder board, and the sensor board while keeping the screws. The instructions then walk through attaching each circuit board to the new shell in a specific order, routing the ribbon cable jumpers between them, and securing the paddles. Customization is done by editing the SCAD source files. One file stores hand measurements that control paddle placement, another handles paddle surface shape, and a third is the main build file where modules are arranged. The BOSL2 library is required to render the SCAD files. The project is released under the GPL-3.0 license.
3D-printable STL and SCAD files for a custom shell mod that turns a G-Wolves HSK Pro gaming mouse into a fingertip-grip shape.
Mainly OpenSCAD. The stack also includes OpenSCAD, BOSL2, 3D Printing.
Released under GPL-3.0: you can use, modify, and share the designs, but derivative works must also be shared under GPL-3.0.
Setup difficulty is rated hard, with roughly 1h+ to a first successful run.
Mainly general.
