In plain English

ResumeSkills is a collection of 20 pre-built instruction sets, called skills, that supercharge AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and others to handle resume and job search tasks. Instead of writing a generic prompt from scratch, you install these skills once and your AI assistant automatically knows how to apply the right approach for each career task. The 20 skills cover the full job search journey: optimizing your resume so it passes automated screening systems (called ATS, which filter out most applications before a human ever reads them), rewriting bullet points to highlight achievements with numbers, tailoring your resume to specific job postings, generating cover letters, and preparing for interviews using a structured storytelling method called STAR. There are also specialized skills for technical roles, executive-level positions, academic CVs, and career changers who need to translate experience from one industry to another. Installation takes one command, running "npx skills add Paramchoudhary/ResumeSkills" in a terminal either globally or per project. After that you simply tell your AI assistant what you need in plain language ("optimize my resume for ATS" or "prep me for an interview at Google") and it applies the relevant skill automatically. The repo is language-agnostic since the skills themselves are markdown files, not code.
