openlogi-net is a free, local first alternative to Logitech's official Options+ software for Windows. It lets you control Logitech mice and keyboards that use Logitech's HID++ protocol, whether they are connected through a Bolt, Unifying, or LIGHTSPEED wireless receiver, or directly over Bluetooth or a wired cable, all without creating a Logitech account and without any of the software phoning home. It is a C# and .NET rewrite, built with the Avalonia UI framework, of an earlier project called OpenLogi that was originally written in Rust and aimed mainly at Mac and Linux. The app lets you remap mouse and keyboard buttons to a set list of actions or custom keyboard shortcuts, and set up gesture controls where holding a button and swiping in one of four directions triggers a different action, similar to what Options+ offers but with the added ability to use gestures on more buttons than just the dedicated gesture button, including several buttons at once. It can also adjust mouse DPI sensitivity, toggle and tune SmartShift's wheel ratchet behavior, convert the scroll wheel into smooth high resolution scrolling, control RGB lighting including per key colors and effects on supported keyboards, read and switch between profiles stored on the device itself, apply different settings per application, and switch which paired computer a multi host device is currently connected to. The project ships two programs: a desktop app with a full graphical interface for configuring devices, and a separate command line tool for listing connected devices, running low level diagnostics, checking keyboard lighting capabilities, and setting a solid lighting color from the terminal. The README is explicit that the project is under active development, not yet stable, and that support for devices connected through wireless dongles is still unreliable in places. It is not affiliated with Logitech, is distributed as a Windows installer or a portable zip file with no separate installation step, and is released under the MIT license.
