Store and autofill passwords for all your Android apps and websites from one encrypted local file.
Generate and store two-factor authentication codes inside the same app alongside your passwords.
Open the same password database on your phone and desktop by sharing the KeePass-compatible file across devices.
KeePassDX is a password manager for Android phones. It stores all your passwords and login details inside a single encrypted file on your device, protected by a master password, a keyfile, or both. You only need to remember that one master password to access everything else. The file format is compatible with the KeePass standard, which means you can open the same database with other KeePass-compatible apps on desktop or other platforms. The app handles everyday password needs directly. It can autofill login forms in your browser or other apps without you having to copy and paste credentials. There is a custom keyboard called Magikeyboard that types credentials into any field. It also supports one-time passwords, which are the six-digit codes used for two-factor authentication, so you can generate those codes inside the same app. Biometric unlock, meaning fingerprint or face recognition, is available for faster access. Passkeys are also supported for sites that use them instead of passwords. Passwords are organized in a tree of groups and individual entries. Each entry stores a username, password, URL, notes, and a history of previous values so you can recover a password that was changed. Custom templates let you define different entry formats for different types of accounts. The app is fully open source under the GPL 3 license and contains no advertising. The main features are free. There is a Pro version available on Google Play that unlocks additional visual themes, but it provides no security or functional advantages over the free version. The recommended download source is F-Droid, an independent Android app store that verifies the code matches the open-source repository. The database file format supports AES, Twofish, and ChaCha20 encryption along with Argon2 key derivation, and is compatible with older KeePass 1 files as well as all modern KeePass 2 formats.
