Vibe Resume Skill is a resume building tool made to be used through an AI coding assistant such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or Trae, rather than as a standalone app you open yourself. You give the assistant your work history, an existing resume, or a target job description, and it puts together a fully formatted one page resume as HTML and PDF, using natural conversation for any later changes. The skill comes with twelve built in A4 page templates, ranging from plain, recruiter friendly single column layouts to more expressive designs with sidebars, timelines, or distinctive typography aimed at technical, design, or creative roles. Each template has its own layout rules covering things like font sizes, spacing, photo placement, and QR code placement, all written into the skill so the AI follows them automatically rather than guessing. The project is meant to help with three common situations: putting together a brand new resume from scattered notes or project write ups, updating an existing resume with a new experience while keeping its current look and page balance, and maintaining several tailored versions of the same resume for different job postings by adjusting emphasis and wording while keeping the underlying facts the same. To use it, you point your AI coding assistant at the project's repository address, ask it to install the skill, then pick a template and share your resume material. The assistant is expected to organize your real experience without inventing achievements, correctly separate education, internships, projects, and skills, adjust font size and spacing to fit one page, keep any profile photo's original color, and make sure QR codes stay clear and unobstructed. It has reportedly been tested with several Chinese AI coding assistants. The project is released under the CC BY NC 4.0 license, which allows personal and non commercial use, while commercial use requires contacting the author directly.
