claude-youtube-editor is an open source project that turns a simple talking head recording into a finished YouTube video. Built by a creator named Hasan, it handles the editing, visuals, voice cleanup, sound effects, thumbnail generation, and upload. You record yourself talking. Claude Code, an AI coding assistant, does the rest. The project works through six steps. First, a transcription service analyzes your recording and helps you cut it into a clean master. Second, visual shots like diagrams, browser mockups, and title cards are generated as code, synced to your words. Third, background noise is removed and your voice is isolated. Fourth, sound effects are placed at exact moments in the speech. Fifth, the tool creates a title and three thumbnail options for testing. Sixth, it checks the final video for problems and uploads it as a private draft to YouTube. Instead of recording your screen, every visual is built as code using a tool called Remotion. This means animations and screencasts are generated programmatically. The repo ships with 37 real shots from a published video, so you can see the output before recording anything yourself. There is also a brand setup process that interviews you, picks fonts and colors, and renders a proof card so your videos look like your channel, not the default style. The project is free, but the underlying AI services are not. You need paid plans or API credits for Claude Code, AssemblyAI, ElevenLabs, and Gemini depending on which steps you use. A local noise reduction option exists that needs no key. The tool does not write scripts for you, and it does not supply your face photos for thumbnails.
