BangerGen is a private, local-first creative studio for producing social media posts, aimed at people who want help writing and illustrating content for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, and TikTok. Everything runs on your own computer: text generation goes through Ollama and images are made with ComfyUI, so no OpenAI API key or cloud account is needed, and your drafts and data stay on the machine. The tool can generate several candidate posts at once and score them so you can pick the strongest option. It looks at things like how well a post fits the chosen platform, whether any claims in the text are backed up by the source notes you provide, and how creatively different the options are from each other. Beyond generating text, it includes editing tools such as a Hook Lab for testing different opening lines, a Thread Builder for X, a Carousel Studio for building multi-slide Instagram or LinkedIn posts, and a Short-Form Script Studio for TikTok narration and shot directions. For images, it can generate SDXL Lightning artwork through a locally running ComfyUI, add text overlays, and manage a gallery of generated, uploaded, and edited images. The app also tracks how posts perform after they are published, storing metrics like views, likes, shares, and clicks so it can learn what worked and feed that into future suggestions, without copying old hooks directly. Setup requires Python 3.11 or newer and Node 20 or newer, plus a working Ollama installation for text generation. ComfyUI is optional and only needed if you want local image generation. The project includes a setup wizard that checks your hardware, such as CPU, RAM, and GPU, and recommends which AI models will run well on your machine before downloading anything.
