Run an automated Counter-Strike tournament for a community group or campus club.
Let players register via Steam, form teams, and join scheduled matches with automatic server setup.
Manage a small online league with tracked standings and structured matches without manual server oversight.
Requires a running Counter-Strike game server with SourceMod installed plus a database, and the website front-end is noted as outdated.
This project is a system for running organized Counter-Strike tournaments. Instead of manually setting up matches and tracking who is playing, it automates the whole process so that players can sign up, form teams, join a game server, and play a structured match without someone needing to oversee every step. The system has three connected pieces. A small database keeps track of teams, players, invites, and which matches are scheduled. A server plugin, the real core of it, runs inside the game server itself. When a player connects, the plugin checks the database to see if that player has an active match. If so, they're allowed in. Once everyone is in and types .ready, the plugin moves players to the correct sides and starts the match. It also supports timeouts (four per team) and, when the match ends, kicks everyone, sends results back to the database, and resets the server to wait for the next game. A third piece is a small website where players can register through their Steam account, create teams, invite teammates, pick a team logo, and view games and standings. The README notes that this front-end is currently outdated, so it may not reflect everything the rest of the system can do at this point. This would appeal to anyone running casual or semi-organized Counter-Strike leagues, a community group, a campus club, or a small online league, who wants match setup to be mostly automatic rather than herding players into a server by hand. It's written in SourcePawn, the scripting language used for SourceMod plugins, which is the standard way to extend game servers built on Valve's Source engine. The project doesn't appear to require any external infrastructure beyond a database and the game server itself, which keeps the setup relatively lightweight for a tournament tool.
